Flourish Events is an award-winning boutique flower farm and florist studio with a sustainable heart—and a touch of event planning and hire to bring every celebration to life. Led by founder Cass Heath, Flourish Events has been proudly featured in Canterbury Bride and was recently named 2nd Runner-Up for Sustainability at the North Canterbury Business Awards.
Cass’s journey to floristry is anything but ordinary. After eleven years as a dairy farmer and as an event manager for New Zealand Young Farmers (Northern Region), she retrained as a florist, blending her deep connection to the land with her passion for design. With a lifelong love of nature and hands-on agricultural experience, Cass brings an eco-conscious approach to florals—growing with intention, designing seasonally, and treading lightly.
When she’s not among the blooms, Cass can usually be found with the honorary Flourish team: her husband Dan, loyal dog Pip, and their beloved pet cows. Together, they’re the heartbeat of the little farm where beauty, sustainability, and creativity all come together.
We use natural/reuseable materials wherever we can. Any product not used fresh is either dried/reused or composted. All wood used for our event hire products is made from locally sourced and milled wood. We are proudly Floral foam free and use sustainable floristry techniques.
90% of the product we use is grown seasonally on our flower farm in Oxford, North Canterbury. We use regenerative techniques and an organic approach to growing. Anything we cannot grow ourselves is sourced from other local growers.
We are members of Floral Collective Canterbury, which sells locally grown wholesale flowers direct to florists in Christchurch.
Flourish Events has a Flower Shop on our flower farm for all your daily bouquet needs. We also make our own cold pressed soap on farm which we sell in the shop, along with our resin homewares.
